Tawa is good thick n the stand is very useful to ensure the tawa when hot does not touch any water /cool surface n crack. Don't make dosa or chapatis immediately. Immerse it in plain water for 24 hours. Then in rice boiled water for another 24 hours. Then on third day, rinse under plain water n dry in sun or under fan till completely dry. Then apply little oil with fingers on front as well as rear side. Let tawa absorb the oil for 2-3 hours. Now tawa is ready for use but instead of roti or dosa, use it a couple of times to shallow fry or dry roast coconut/onions. Always rinse under plain water after tawa has cooled down. Don't use soap.
